Non-surgical Spinal Decompression

What is it?
Non-surgical spinal decompression (NSSD) is a non-invasive treatment for chronic neck and low back pain with or without sciatica caused by herniated, ruptured, bulging or degenerative discs, facet syndrome and failed back surgery.

How does it work?
The Triton DTS decompression unit works by gently stretching the spine. The patient lies fully clothed on the table in a harness that is attached to the table. For treating the neck, no harness is necessary. Over the course of about half an hour a computer moves the table in tiny increments to stretch the spine. The automated unit utilizes a sophisticated method of cycling the patient through a series of gentle pulls, holds, and releases. Over a series of relaxing treatment sessions, patients often experience powerful pain reduction and healing. The treatment is not painful and many patients fall asleep during the treatment.

How long does it take?
A typical treatment program consists of 20-25 sessions over four to six weeks. Some conditions require fewer visits, some require more.

Rehabilitation/Strengthening
As symptom resolution occurs, specific exercises will be recommended and reviewed for continued at-home rehabilitation.
